Housekeeping

A few things:

1. In regards to the scale of the new map, consider "The Roam" to be 60 miles long or 1 day's ride by horse on a clear day with a few inches snow. Note that despite the map covering less area than might have been suspected, the majority of the Northland is still unexplored beyond the map's borders.

2. I've been keeping a loose system of organization in my head and with the group split we've entered the 4th chapter in the Winters campaign. Allow me to explain...

Chapter 1: Winters Awakening was written over a year, or maybe longer, ago when the original group encountered the plotting Kyodai in the tundra and accidentally released Shalraza, otherwise known as the Ice Queen, otherwise called the Ice Bitch. The summaries for Chapter 1 have been written and posted for awhile now on the forums, but will be reposted on the blog once/if I ever get around to summarizing Chapter 2.


Chapter 2: Wrath of the Ice Queen began after the year hiatus and included the additions of Izaki and Tasha as players, the fall of Veluvia, the fight with the Ooze, the fall of the Fist, and the encounters with Kasper that led to Saspien.

Chapter 3: Shadow in the East was all the time spent in the vampire homeland of Saspien working to foil Kasper, Tisiphone and ultimately the demon lord Falst himself. This chapter saw the inclusion of yet more new players and the Co DM. The summary of this chapter is covered in the Session Reports.

Chapter 4: Shalraza's Revenge begins with the return to the North for the final battle between what is left of the living races and the awesome forces of Ice Queen.

(I really like making Chapter titles. Just smile and pretend you like them.)

3. I've started a topic in the forums related to spicing up magic. Everyone's thoughts would be appreciated.
