We're taking a break

Dear Players,

I need a break from the campaign. Lately I’ve been feeling very uninspired and attendance and player interest/activity has been pretty damn low. Let’s break and reconvene in a few weeks. I think this week has show me my timetable as posted is a fucking joke with all our schedules and what not. Frankly, I’m tired of trying to make it work. It hasn’t been easy keeping this game going through months of Tasha’s drama, the splitting of the group (and doubling of work for me), Sirocco’s recurrent rudeness and general game balancing issues. The fun just doesn’t equal the frustration.

So maybe in a month or so everyone’s life will clear up enough to allow 4 hours a week of uninterrupted session. And if you can’t make that commitment, there’s no shame in dropping out.

Sincerely,

DMWinters

Chosen Group Thursday Night Makeup

If Fin, Mat and Victoria are available tonight, I'm more than willing to play at regular time (8:30pm EST) for a makeup.

Lordani

Just to give some visual aid for the people, which are very cool renditions of Native Americans done by the genius artists as Arenanet.

Campaign Schedule

I've tentatively mapped out our remaining days and things look like they tie up quite nicely as the following:

Chosen Group (Wednesdays @ 8:30pm EST):
5/14, 5/21, 5/28

Immortal Group (Mondays @ 8:30pm EST)
5/12, 5/19, 5/26

Groups Combine! (We can figure out a date that works for everyone. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays seem to be workable for everyone once June hits, so for the sake of having dates I'm slating Monday @ the earliest we can all meet since these sessions will likely run a little longer):
6/2, 6/9, 6/16, 6/23, 6/30

Final Session!
7/7

Will everything pan out like I slated... prolly not. Is it what I'm aiming for? Yes! If anyone knows ahead of time that any of these dates slated for your group or when the groups combine isn't good for him or her, let me know now. Keep in mind that once the groups combine, there will be a little more leeway with dates.

It's so weird to see the end in sight, but exciting too. I think I've managed to generally resolve a lot of loose ends. My main goals are to make it fun and have it make sense. It helps A LOT if we have perfect attendance for these next 9 sessions. We've all put so much into it, let's see it through.

Maybe, Maybe Not

The session for Vic, Mat and Fin might happen, might not, depending on a lot of unknown factors.

I totally forgot it was my mom's birthday today, so when I get home from work we'll likely go out to eat, give gifts and what not... so no eta on when I'll be able to DM. If you guys don't mind hanging around aim, when I get back I can im you. If not, my apologies for this totally slipping my mind, but I gotta keep momma happy and appreciated :P.

Official Groups and Play Times

So we eliminate confusion (and excuses!):

Mondays, 8:30 EST
Serren, Sev, Sirocco, Izaki

Wednesdays, 8:30 EST
Victoria, Matthias, Finduilas

Please talk to me immediately if there are any problems. The game is beginning to wrap up (well, we have May, June and some of July) and I need everyone on time and present to close Winters with a bang. Thanks all.

Celestome (so far)

In my eagerness to show you what I've been working on for the good religions write-up, here's the draft so far, complete with Raya and Lordanna sections and a layout of the other gods (including their pictures).

Planar Cosmology

With all the planar travel going on, and after having been asked by more than one person about the planes, I decided to post a quick map of the planes. Apologies for the sketchy map, but I think it works.

The Material is, of course, Othyr, the center of the universe. It is overlapped by four mirror planes: Shadow, where Delilah's corpse rots and where shadow creatures and aberrations come from; The Wild, where Lordanna's corpse reposes and where fey live and spawn; Glacial, the freezing prison plane for Kultuss and the many ancient dragons and demons banished from the Winters War; and finally the Ethereal, an out of focus, spectral realm that surrounds the material like cerebral fluid, preventing the crossover of planes from destroying each other and allowing travel between them. Glacial is, of course, locked by the gods themselves and protected from direct entry by some of the most powerful beings in the universe for obvious reasons.

The four planes float amidst a much larger plane, the Astral Sea, which also supports the free-floating planes On-High and Torment, the former locked to ensure the brightest souls Raya is fueled by aren't tampered with. They have little trouble with intruders in Torment hehe.

Beyond the Astral Sea is the vast Elemental Chaos, where all the various elemental, paraelemental and quasielemental planes mesh, mix, collide and coexist.

Still further are the Cosmos, the infinite Void of Chrysaor riddled with Raya and her starry children. This plane is basically an intertwined Positive and Negative Energy plane, the massive stars pockets of positive, while the rest is negative.

And somewhere in the Cosmos Raya and Laz duke it out, with Chrysaor watching even further removed, harboring all existence, though it pains it.
